He chose her as the last model from the 2007 Spring/Summer Collection. After her modeling debut in Lakme Fashion Week Anushka did various campaigns for companies like n she has done campaigns for the brands' Silk & Shine Whisper Nathella Jewelry as well as Fiat Palio etc. Anushka started giving auditions for film in addition to her modeling. Anushka Sharma was the first actress to film in 2008 with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. She starred opposite Shah Rukh Khan. The actress took time to get ready and did not attempt the test on her own. The movie was a huge success and was praised by the critics. Anushka had signed the three film contract with Yash Raj Films.
